  5. Thank you for taking the PIZZARIAS BRUTAL CHALLENGE! 
  6. In order to enjoy your playable demo of Gametek's BRUTAL
  7. DOS PC version, please make sure you do NOT have WINDOWS running.
  8. From the DOS prompt in the \GAMETEK\BRUTAL directory, type
  9. "BRUTAL" to begin the game.
  10.  
  11. SOUND - Please ensure that you have selected the correct sound
  12. card for your computer during installation. If you haven't,
  13. don't worry, you can do it at any time by typing INSTALL from 
  14. within the \GAMETEK\BRUTAL directory.  To Exit the Demo, press
  15. "Escape."

  21. one round, and one backdrop.

  46. Left & Right arrows - scrolls through the selection for player one.
  47. H & K   - scrolls through the selection for player two.

  50. NOTE: The game defaults to the fastest speed.  During play you can 
  51. decrease or increase the speed of the game by hitting F6 (slowest) 
  52. through F10 (fastest).  Additionally, F3 and F4 turn on and off bits
  53. of the parallax scrolling of the background (for FASTEST play, turn
  54. off the parallax scrolling).

  59. Brutal is a DOS game.  Please make sure that you DO NOT run this demo 
  60. from within Windows.  Always QUIT out of Windows and never use the DOS 
  61. shell from Windows.

  67. Brutal is a game of cartoon martial arts. Like all heroes, each 
  68. character in Brutal has different strengths and weaknesses.

  70. BACKGROUND
  71.  
  72. Every four years the Dali Llama travels the world 
  73. searching for the greatest warriors. He judges them not only on 
  74. martial prowess but on how far they truly possess the "warrior 
  75. spirit". He invites them all to his peaceful island where they
  76. compete to see who is worthy to wear the belt of heaven.

  78. Each character represents one of the paths of wisdom.

  129. HERE ARE JUST SOME OF THE FEATURES
  130. IN THE FULL VERSION OF BRUTAL PC:

  132. Instant replay - Allows players to gloat over their 
  133. victories by watching the whole fight frame by frame at 
  134. whatever speed they desire.

  136. Tournament system - Up to 8 People can play in a 
  137. single tournament or they can play as teams to defeat each 
  138. other.

  140. Belt System - Players do not start off with all the 
  141. moves available to them. They must earn their belts by 
  142. defeating opponents and finally proving themselves to the 
  143. Dali Llama in the dojo.  With each new belt the character's 
  144. extra moves are made available to him.

  146. Password entry/Save game - The game stores the 
  147. character's information including his Belt level as well as his 
  148. victories and losses. Also included is the player's name so 
  149. each password is individualized..
